Scaffolding for extensions in Newport and South Wales

A single or two-storey extension, or other building work on the outside of a house. Your builder needs access as the walls go up and the roof goes on. Tell Paul what’s being built and when, and get a free quote.

For extensions and building work on houses

A tall system scaffold with red toe boards around a large building

A scaffold that keeps up with the build

An extension goes up in stages: the walls, then the roof. Tell us how your builder plans to work, and whether the scaffold will need to go higher as the walls rise.

The easiest way is to put us in touch with your builder, so the scaffold is planned round their programme rather than guessed.

Send the plans

If you’ve got drawings for the extension, send them over with the address and the start date. They show the size, the height and where it sits against the house.

Getting round the back

Extensions usually go on at the back, where the way in might be a side path, a shared lane or straight through the house. Tell us how we’d get there and what’s in the way: a shed, a fence, a conservatory, next door’s garden.

If the scaffold needs to stand on a neighbour’s land, talk to them before the day.

Questions, answered.

Anything else, call and ask Paul.

Do I need scaffolding for a single-storey extension?

Ask your builder. It depends on the height of the walls and the roof, and how they like to work. If they want a scaffold, send us the plans and we’ll quote.

Can you quote from the extension plans?

Send them with the address and the start date. If we need to come and look, we’ll say.

Who books the scaffold, me or my builder?

Either. Some builders arrange it and some leave it to the homeowner. Whoever books it, we’d want to speak to the builder so it suits how they work.

How long will the scaffold be up for an extension?

Usually as long as the build needs it, so ask your builder for their timings and pass them on. Tell us when they’ve finished and it comes down.

Got a job coming up?

Tell Paul what the work is, where it is and when it starts. You’ll get a free quote.
