Scaffolding in Usk

Usk and the villages

A small town on the river, from Twyn Square and Bridge Street out to Llanbadoc over the bridge, with Llangybi, Gwehelog, Monkswood and Glascoed around it.

The streets in the middle are narrow and the buildings sit hard onto the pavement, so a scaffold at the front will usually stand on it. Tell us where the building is, how wide the pavement is and where a lorry can stop.

Monmouthshire’s licence

Usk is in Monmouthshire. The county council’s form for putting scaffolding on the public highway asks for the scaffolding company, the address of the job and the dates it’s needed, with a detailed plan of where it will stand.

It has to go in at least five working days before the scaffold goes up. Allow for that when you book your trades.
