Torfaen’s permit rules
Cwmbran is in Torfaen. Torfaen County Borough Council says all scaffolding on the public highway needs a permit, that it’s the scaffolding company’s job to ask for it, and that a permit won’t be issued to a member of the public.
The council also asks for at least 24 hours’ notice, for the scaffold to be marked with the owner’s name, address and a 24 hour emergency number, and to be told when it comes down.
